1. The Watcher
After his father goes to war 15 year old Londoner Tom Grattan is sent to Yorkshire. There he is thrust into an unknown world that he finds both scary and exciting. He settles in quite well, but wonders about the man skulking on the rocks.
2. The Night Intruder
Tom is convinced that the mysterious intruder at the Kirkby farm is Julie's father.
3. Menace at the Mine
Tom and Julie explore a deserted mine from which they hear mysterious deafening noises.
4. Monster of Steel
Tom solves the mystery of the mine - but not before the most terrifying ride of his life!
5. The Prisoner
Soldiers arrive at the Kirby's farm looking for two escaped German prisoners.
6. The Secret Boat
Julie tries to help the escaped Germans, and finds herself in danger of her life.
7. The Fire Raisers
Tom is branded a 'German lover' when he helps a local farmer with a German name.
8. The Terrible Townsends
Tom is overjoyed when Stan's son, Frank, comes home on leave
9. Robbery with Violence
Tom sees a robbery by the Townsend Gang but, with Stan their captive, must remain silent.
10. Battle at Weaver's Lock
With Julie's help, Tom rescues Stan from the clutches of the Townsend Gang.
11. The Hero
Tom finds his place as 'man about the farm' usurped by a wounded soldier.
12. The Mysterious Lighthouse
Tom and Julie enjoy a walk to the lighthouse - and unknowingly walk into adventure.
13. The Wreckers
Can Tom find a way to prevent a number of English warships running aground?
