Overview

Travel the Road is an American reality television series that documents the lives of young missionaries Tim Scott and Will Decker through more than 25 different countries since 1998. Travel the Road is a two-fold ministry. Their mission statement says: "First, we actively preach the message of Christ Jesus to remote people groups who have never heard the gospel, or are currently cutoff from active mission work. Second, we document our expeditions and present them in a weekly television series to motivate the church to be active in missions." Decker and Scott undertake expeditions into the most remote areas of the world to bring the gospel. From the deserts of Ethiopia to the island villages of Papua New Guinea they travel from country to country with one backpack, a change of clothes, and the gospel. Along the adventure the world is seen like never before with spellbinding images of remote and distant lands that evoke thoughts of a time long ago.

After surviving a near fatal car accident, without a scratch, these two daring missionaries say a painful goodbye to those they love and once again journey into the unknown. Armed only with a backpack, a change of clothes and their Bibles, Tim and Will depart for the most dangerous and remote lands on the planet. From the prehistoric jungles of Borneo to the snow covered mountains of Tibet and through the warzones of Afghanistan, the guys encounter Taliban gunfights, Siberian blizzards, bandits and sacrificial burials as they risk their lives to preach the gospel.

From treacherous food drops in Mogadishu, Somalia to intense patrolling missions in Darfur, Sudan, Tim and Will encounter clan militias, warlords and isolated tribes as they traverse the vast expanse of Africa to deliver the eternal message of hope.

Continuing their quest to carry the gospel to the most distant regions on earth, the two-man team explores and documents every corner of the globe as they journey from the tribal islands of the South Pacific to the radioactive exclusion zone of Chernobyl, and onto the savannas of Africa. But unexpectedly, in the Himalayas, their expeditions take a dangerous turn when they are caught in the middle of a 7.8 earthquake that rocks the nation of Nepal. Facing death and destruction, Tim and Will set themselves to helping those affected by the disaster and, through it all, they see the light of Christ shine brightly.
